This weekend, my good friend and colleague received a major accolade, winning a Rainbow Award after tying for first place in the Best Gay/Paranormal Horror category for his book Coyote’s Creed. Congrats, Vaughn! You totally earned it.
This means of course that I’ve got to step up my game and get a few novels out there. Vaughn and I have had a bad tendency to compete ever since we both picked up Guitar Hero 2, which resulted in us going back and forth across the Leaderboards in an effort to one-up each other for months. The fact that Vaughn can now add “Award-Winning Author” to his CV now is just a tiny bit more important that getting a couple more thousand points on his “Freebird” score of course.
At any rate, if you’re a fan of urban fantasy and you haven’t read Coyote’s Creed yet you should. Like, today. Vaughn could use the money.
